Cruise season

The P&O Arcadia and, inset, tender vessels including a Reef Magic boat taking passengers to Yorkeys Knob and back.

It's cruise vessel season in Cairns and we're seeing a fair few large cruise liners both off Yorkeys Knob and at the wharf in Trinity Inlet. They come to Australia for the southern summer, and end up running into the Wet Season up here. There were a couple of showers this morning to greet the ship, but the afternoon should have a few sunny patches. It's a little unfortunate that they don't come in the October-November period to see the area in the nicest weather. Unlike the Queen Mary 2's visit, the waters are at least nice and flat for the Arcadia.
