Chillagoe huntsman

A huntsman spider in the Royal Arch cave at Chillagoe
I had my second wander through the Royal Arch cave at Chillagoe last weekend. With tourism season starting, it was a larger group than January's trip. We had a little more success in wildlife spotting, with a couple of species of microbat making an appearance, as did a children's python which, unfortunately, didn't show me its head for a photo.

The cave is home to cockroaches which feed on bat guano, and huntsman spiders which feed on them. Both made frequent appearances as they did last time. I neglected to ask our guide for a species identification, so I'll leave this unidentified.
