There are a number of small beaches alongside the road from Cairns to Port Douglas of which many catch a glimpse but few actually visit. Some are difficult to get to, with steep and rough trails leading down the slopes from the highway. None of them have stinger nets of course, so they're not good swimming beaches at this time of year. They are, however, very picturesque. Even at 3pm I think I may have been the first person on this little bay during the day. There were certainly no footprints visible. It's located just south of Turtle Cove.
