Lunchtime

As I was leaving the Cattana Wetlands yesterday I noticed a couple of intermediate egrets hunting in the grass next to the carpark. Shooting through the window of the car, I caught one catching what looks like a skink. It looked like the skink almost got away, being caught by just a leg. I really am a big softy, and find the below image a little depressing. I would never have made it as a David Attenborough cameraman.
