Sacred kingfisher at Taylor Point

A sacred kingfisher (Todiramphus sanctus) at Taylor Pont, Trinity Beach
A little while back Taylor Point won an at least temporary stay of execution with a court siding with the former Cairns Regional Council in its decision against a proposed residential development. While the area is far from pristine, with a great many exotic plants growing in the area, it's still the best oceanside walk in Cairns. I'm very much of the opinion that if the Council was to put the same investment into Taylor Point as it has the Cattana Wetlands, Taylor Point would develop into even more of a drawcard.
