Large brown bean bug

Large brown bean bug (Riptortus serripes)
During a bug hunt at Taylor Point this afternoon, this large brown bean bug (likely a female as males have yellower patches on the side) caught my eye. It's a native species that originally fed mainly on acacias, but has become a pest species on mung and soy beans, and to a lesser extent on cotton. Note the proboscis folded back underneath the body.
