Bee disturbed

I took a late afternoon wander around the larger pond at Cattana Wetlands this afternoon. I didn't see a lot of birdlife, but had more luck with insects. Most notable was the below bee, which is a fire-tailed resin bee (Megachile mystaceana). When I dicovered it had its face in the coils you see under it, and its body running up the branch. Again, as with the neon cuckoo bee, I find myself wondering ife they are flower-mimics. With light dim, I was using the flash and I think this disturbed the bee. Can a bee look at you angrily? It flew off just after I took this photo.
